Less than a week before the official unveiling of the new ix20 mpv at the Paris Motor Show and more images have emerged.
The shots were taken from a private press meeting, spot the oxymoron, at the Hyundai Fleet Festival and shows the vehicle from more angles.
Panoramic Sunroof & Blue Drive
Most notable from the images is the Panoramic glass sunroof which features on the Premium range of ix35 models. Again these are left hand drive versions so specification will differ from those destined for the UK.
Other observations are the Blue badges on the tailgate. Could this be the U2 1.4-litre diesel engine, designed and engineered at the R&D centre in Rüsselsheim, Germany?
Scheduled for the i20 later in the year, the U2 1.4 litre diesel produces 75PS at a lower rpm level of 4.000, while generating 220 Nm of torque and producing just 98g/km of CO2 emissions. The new ix20 diesel unit has 89 bhp but as this is a fleet show, where running costs are key, we could be seeing the first generation of ix20′s with Blue Drive technology.
